This client was having a destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and wanted an illustrated postcard of an iconic street as part of their wedding favors.
The first step was to research the city, pull reference photos, complete thumbnail sketches and color studies and send for approval.
Once the client chose a color palette, the next step was to outline the layout in pencil and then finished the piece with watercolor. From there, the water color was scanned and touched up before being sent off to the printer.
