Jesse was hired to illustrate a postcard of an iconic street to be gifted as a wedding favor for a destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
The first step was to research the city, pull reference photos, complete thumbnail sketches and color studies and send for approval and client feedback.
Once the client chose a color palette, the next step was to outline the layout in pencil and then finished the piece with watercolor. From there, the water color was scanned and touched up before being sent off to the printer.
Even though the client selected the red design, Jesse finalized the other two for the enjoyment of the process.
